RITUXAN®

RITUXAN® (Rituximab) is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with various forms of immunodeficient diseases.

RITUXAN® is manufactured by Genentech.

Administration and Dosage:

Administration of RITUXAN® is an intravenous infusion. Dosing varies on patient’s diagnosis and recommended Prescribing Provider’s treatment plan.

Indication:

RITUXAN® is indicated to treat:

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (Wegener’s Granulomatosis)
  • Pemphigus Vulgaris

Common Side Effects:

The more common side effects of RITUXAN® include infusion-related reactions, infections (may include fever, chills), body aches, tiredness, and nausea. In patients with GPA or MPA, common side effects of Rituxan are low white and red blood cells, swelling, diarrhea, and muscle spasms. Other side effects include aching joints during or within hours of receiving an infusion, and more frequent upper respiratory tract infections.
