KRYSTEXXA®
KRYSTEXXA® (Pegloticase) is a drug used in the treatment of severe, refractory, chronic gout. It metabolizes uric acid to allantoin making it more water soluble increasing its excretion. Administration of KRYSTEXXA® is by a bi-weekly intravenous infusion.

Common Side Effects:
The more common side effects of KRYSTEXXA® include wheezing, shortness of breath, cough, chest tightness, chest pain, trouble breathing, dizziness, fainting, fast or weak heartbeat, feeling nervous, reddening of the face, itching, hives, rash, feeling warm, swelling of the throat or tongue, throat tightness, hoarse voice or trouble swallowing.
